Funding and Finance Options
for Hearing Aids

There are several ways to reduce the cost of hearing aids in New Zealand. Depending on your hearing loss, work history, service history, and eligibility, you may be able to access government subsidy support, ACC funding, Veterans’ Affairs funding, or finance options.
Dilworth Hearing can help you understand which option may apply and guide you through the next step.

Government Hearing Aid Subsidy

Get up to $1,022.22 towards a pair of hearing aids if you meet the eligibility criteria.

ACC Funding

If your hearing loss is linked to workplace noise, an accident, or a treatment injury, ACC may help cover the cost of hearing aids.

Veterans’ Affairs Funding

If you have service-related hearing loss, or receive Weekly Income Compensation due to hearing loss, you may be eligible for Veterans’ Affairs funding. Please see our Veterans’ Affairs page.

Veterans’ Affairs may contribute up to $900 per hearing aid and can also help cover hearing assessments, fittings, batteries, and other hearing-related services. Additional support may be available for people with more complex hearing needs.

Finance Options

Dilworth Hearing offers flexible finance options to help spread the cost of hearing aids, making better hearing more accessible.
