Government funding paths
You may be able to apply for funding, if your job, education, caring for dependents, or personal safety relies on a hearing aid.
We’ll help you through the process of applying for any of the following:
- Government Subsidy – a partial government subsidy of $1022.22 for a pair of hearing aids is available to New Zealanders and permanent residents aged 16 years and over, once every six years.
- Veterans’ Affairs – this funding pays up to $900 per hearing aid. Any additional funding is usually covered by the patient.
- ACC – funding is available for audiological costs (hearing tests and hearing aids) based on percentage hearing loss relating to accident or noise exposure in the workplace, once every six years.
